per boarshill on HEIRtagger: "The modern (Victorian) passenger station is a little way behind the camera, but when the older photographs were taken there were also dockside railway lines to the right, presumably rather messy and with a nice smell, which rushed the fresh fish off to market.
These do not seem to figure in romantic historical photos! (the area is now used for car parking)"
