Per email from Martin Rush 30/10/2021: "(1) HEIR 44042 - AHist: England: "4. Newcastle Cathedral,
from N.W. Northum. Ext. Cathedrals of England and Wales. G.W.W. 26367."
(2) HEIR 46723 - AHist: England: "Cathedrals of England and Wales. Newcastle Cathedral. G.W.W. Trade Mark. 4. 35001."

Both images, but especially the less-populated monochrome HEIR 44042, show a cabmen's shelter which used to stand in the square north of the Cathedral. It has gone now. Also
gone is the "pant" or fountain/water conduit which stood
nearby, under the streetlight towards the centre in both
images. (Pant is the Scottish or North-Eastern term for a
public water pump or fountain - there are several in HEIR eg
HEIR 36038.)

Over towards the north railings of the Cathedral is what
looks suspiciously like a metal urinal. Rather close to the
Cathedral shubbery? Perhaps placed there to protect it ..."
