HEIR 36496 - Passmore: England: Northumberland: "Cilurnum Street of Barracks" (Walwick Chesters)

...HEIR 36496 ...[is the same as one] from Mike Bishop's Flickr series of images of Gibson Postcards.

Mike's caption reads:
"Gibson postcard No.59 showing the street between the two barrack blocks in the north-east quadrant of the fort soon after clearance by John Clayton (for whom J. P. Gibson worked as excavation photographer). Note how turf is left unexcavated on top of the walls. Looking E". This image is available here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/thearmaturapress/6052068581/in/set-72157594459806616/

Mike's postcard image in postcard format is a bit broader than HEIR's lantern slide. However, another version of the lantern slide is available in the Lucerna Magic Lantern resource at https://lucerna.exeter.ac.uk/slide/index.php?id=5136698 where the caption is "Street of Barracks, Cilurnum" and "Published by J P Gibson, Hexham." This image forms part of "Miscellaneous slides by Gibson of Hexham" and appears in two Lantern slide collections....
