{- per boarshill on HEIRtagger: "According to his brief obituary in the Photographic Journal of the Royal Photographic Society (Vol 105 page 234 1965), Geoffrey Peachey became an A.R.P.S - Associate of the Royal Photographic Society - in mid-1930. Peachey seems to have been very active on the Wall at this time."

per boarshill: "Peachey gives his Hove address as "Pook's Hill" both on his various HEIR slides and in the Journal of Roman Studies eg vol 21(1931) p.xx. There is no Pook's Hill that I can find in Hove, and Peachey's real Hove address seems to have been 34 Hove Park Road (Kelly's directory). Kipling's book of stories "Puck of Pook's Hill" of course does contain two stories about the Roman Wall, so presumably we have an indication of the strength of Peachey's Roman interest here?" -}
